Step 1: Start With Your Guest Count — Not Your Invite List
The most common mistake hosts make is ordering rentals based on the number of people they invited. In reality, for most casual parties and milestone events, expect roughly 70–85% of invited guests to actually show up. Weather, distance, and other commitments all affect attendance.
